Obesity

Too much, too fatty, too sweet. These are the main causes of obesity. In addition, due to time pressure, our meals usually consist of convenience foods and are eaten at irregular times.

In Chinese medicine, the spleen and stomach are responsible for digestion. They reflect our core and play an important role. The quality of our blood and energy depends on the food we eat. The principle applies: “You are what you eat!”

Incorrect eating habits weaken the spleen and stomach. The qi of the spleen can no longer properly transform food, and dampness builds up in the body. These “dampness deposits” are considered the main cause of obesity in Chinese medicine. Take your time with your meals, always try to use fresh foods, and make sure meals are warm. These small tips can make a big difference.

Weight loss solely through acupuncture or herbal therapy is pure illusion. Achieving weight loss requires a change in diet and exercise. Chinese medicine can help strengthen your core and eliminate dampness. This gives you new energy and strength for exercise and sport.

You’ll be surprised at how quickly you can see initial results.

We would be happy to advise you and support you on your path to success.

Diabetes mellitus

Diabetes mellitus (meaning “honey-sweet flow”) is a chronic metabolic disorder. The body can no longer break down sugar properly, which leads to hyperglycemia (too much sugar in the blood). A distinction is made between congenital type 1 diabetes and adult-onset type 2 diabetes.

After a meal, the body reacts by releasing insulin (a hormone that lowers blood sugar levels). Type 1 diabetes is unable to produce insulin and must therefore be administered via injection. Type 2 diabetes can produce insulin but is resistant to its effects due to years of poor nutrition.

The increased presence of sugar crystals in the blood can damage the blood vessel walls or constrict smaller vessels. This can lead to a variety of symptoms such as diabetic foot, visual disturbances, sensory disturbances, susceptibility to infections, and many more.

The treatment options of Chinese medicine cover the entire spectrum of diabetes-related conditions. In addition to treating symptoms, it is important to prevent further complications and strengthen the metabolism and immune system.
