Inflammation of the bladder (cystitis)
The most common cause of cystitis is a bacterial infection. Bacteria usually enter the bladder from the bowel via the urethra. Due to the close proximity of the intestinal and urethral openings and the short urethra, women are much more frequently affected by the disease than men.
In TCM, the damp-heat pattern in the bladder is usually responsible for cystitis. The treatment can eliminate the dampness and cool the heat. This very quickly leads to relief of the symptoms. In addition, the Qi of the bladder is strengthened to prevent further bladder infections.
Incontinence and bedwetting in children
Incontinence and nocturnal enuresis in children can be stressful for the whole family. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), these complaints are often caused by functional imbalances, such as a weakness in kidney energy or emotional disharmony. With individually tailored therapies such as acupuncture, children’s tuina (a special form of massage) and Chinese herbal formulas, TCM can make a gentle but effective contribution to improving bladder control – without any side effects. For children in particular, great importance is attached to sensitive and child-friendly treatment.
